KOPRULU CANYON is the most famous landmark in Turkey. In a national park located near a small town called BESKONAK in Manavgat. The river KOPRUCAY is one of the most popular rivers for rafting in Turkey. Rafting on this meanderingly flowing river is a must do experience for all adventure lovers holidaying on the Turkish riviera.
Rafting Tour Program
The river Kopruçay is one of the best rafting rivers in Turkey with a rapids rate of 2, whereas the most challenging rivers have over 6. Anyone can join in this activity. We take you from your hotel in the morning 8.30-9.00,with our comfortable air-conditioned vehicles drive 1 hour to the rafting center in Koprulu Canyon.In our center you get the safety equipment (helmet and life jackets) that you have to wear during the tour.At the same time our instructors give you information about the adventure ahead.Instructors group everone according to languages and one of our instructors is assigned to each raft.Before the tour everyone gets into the river to get used to the cool water.This is called body rafting and gets you ready fort he adventure.Getting 10 people on the raft with an experienced pilot everyone start rowing after short while you will get rid of fears and start enjoying the thrills with your teammates.Everyone fights with the might of Kopruçay together and feel the spirit of team sports.
The estimated lengt of the journey is 14 km. After about 40 minutes rafting there is a 20 minutes break by the river. During this break you can relax, swim or jump into the river from diving boards. Then we go on rafting again and arrive at our restaurant in the middle of the track where you have your delicious lunch. The lunch menu consists of barbequed chicken , rice, pasta and salad. After lunch the adventure continues and after rafting about 20 minutes you arrive at the finish point. At the end you can watch a recording of the tour and sees photos taken during the tour.The trip ends at about 15.00 and we take all our guests back to their hotels.
This excursion is everyday from April to November and highly popular amoung our guests.
The fee includes transfer from and to hotels, full travel insurance rafting session, lunch,all necessary safety equipment and instructions given by our expert instructors.
