At the start we go to the biggest mosque in the area called KÜLLİYE CAMİSİ. Time is 10 am ; here in half hour guide will explain the history and architecture of the mosque which has capacity of 4000 people. You can take pictures inside and outside.
Then we head towards the famous antique city of SELEKEUIEA. On the way we come across’AQUADUCT ‘bridge like monument . This is the remains of waterway to bring water from the Green Lake to Side. This structure was build in 2000 BC.Following this visit we enter a village called BUCAKŞEYHLER passing through the the village we come around 11.00 to the ancient city SELEUKEIA.
This city was founded in fifth century BC.Our guide will take you to a walk to Agora the center square of the city and explain the history of the city. During half hour here you can take pictures and try to imagine how was the life like then. From here in 5 minutes we arrive at a local house cafereria. Here you can refresh ,relax and take cold and hot drinks.
After this break we go in half an hour through nice landscape to reach THE GREEN LAKE. We stop at a location with fantastic panorama view of the lake and mountains ; chance to capture the the picturesque scenes of wild nature. Now is the time to take the longest one and a half hour break of the day; to go to the restaurant by the lakeside for lunch.But first we get on board a catamaran boat to sail towards an island in the lake and to different locations. This trip is the only allowad trip on a dam lake in Turkey. Here a chance to feel the cool atmosphere of the lake and the green forest around it.
After the boat trip, it is time for a delicious lunch at the restaurant by the lake. Lunch consists of chicken skewers or meatballs or trout and salad.If you are vegeterian a plate of delicious vegeterian plate is prepared.
After lunch 40 minute swim in fresh lake water is possible, there is a platform on the lake by the restaurant.
After the restaurant with a drive of 15 minutes we come to THE OYMAPINAR DAM which is the fifth highest dam in Turkey.185 m high. Here you can take nice pictures.
And then the return travel begins to Manavgat.We drive 30 minutes to come to SARILAR village, where we enter into an orange plantation. Around Manavgat in this region variety of oranges grow all year around, here is a chance to pick oranges from a tree,and fresh orange juice is prepared, also pomagranade.
Our last but not least visit in this compound excursion is to see the famous MANAVGAT WATERFALL. With a little entrance fee do not miss the chance to withness the force of nature, feel the freshness of cool air and hear the sound of nature.Here you can take lots of pictures and sellhy for your profile picture.
